Just tried a couple of times and can't recreate it?
Is it going to the donations link?
If so it could be tied in with pressing enter or something like that.
It's certainly NOT desirable behaviour in terms of anything that I've told it to do, just in case anyone thinks that!!

Simon - could you try again and see if you can reproduce it?
Try clicking the 'log in' button, and also try hitting 'enter' on your keyboard, and see if this makes a difference.
What's your browser? If you have access to a different browser it would be nice to know if that does it.

i did it again logging in this time. It has happened if i hit log in or when i've pressed enter once my user and password are in.

Strange that you are experiencing this but no-one else is.
I also have IE7 and have tested with that and can't get it to reproduce.
Can you do a check for spyware.
There are only a couple of proper spyware solutions that I trust based on magazine reviews that have marked them as award winning; Webroot Spysweeper and PC Tools Spyware Doctor.

I get this as well from to time - in fact was just about to post a thread here when I saw this.
Not noticed it on logon but do get it if I hit "back" twice in quick succession, eg to go from reading a post back to the forum index. Opens paypal login. I assumed the donations button was overriding things.
Also this happens on my work PC which is so protected from the outside world that it is very unlikely spyware is the problem.

Ok I've had a thought on how to fix this by having a separate donations page.
