Well the option is under thread tools, near the top of the thread. If you don't have that option then just let me know which thread you're talking about and one of the admin's will sort it out

Hi again,
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but in any of my messages/threads under "Thread tools" there is only these four options:
PRINT.
E-MAIL.
SUBSCRIBE TO THREAD.
ADD A POLL
Like to have option to delete messages. Want my three posts deleted at present.
Thanks

3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.
1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!
Nope, you're not doing anything wrong.
Only Administrators and moderators are allowed to delete threads. Normal members are not even allowed to delete thier own threads and if this is needed then please ask a moderator or admin giving a reasonable explanation.
The reason behind this is simple. If a member posts a thread and then gets replies to that thread by deleting it you're also deleting other peoples posts.

If anyone saw the test posts from Jenna before they were removed it was only me seeing exactly what normal members can do.
If a member starts a thread then the only way they can get rid of that thread is to ask an admin, though if it's already got replies then I doubt if we'd remove it without a good reason.
If it's not got replies then go in and edit it saying it was a mistake to post and asking for deletion and also asking no-one to reply to it.
The only posts a user can delete are his own replies to threads, this can be done via the edit button which will then bring up a delete button.
