Deleting a post

How do you delete a post? I posted a message about chain oiler, then release it had been answered numerous times, so I thought I would delete it, but can't find a way?

I suppose it's in case there are any replies to the post if you deleted it then the replies would be out of context so only Mods and admins can delete posts

We can change that and allow users to delete their threads but by default vBulletin sets it not to delete.
Deleting threads shouldn't be taken lightly as it will also orphan or delete all the other replies to the thread. There are also occasions when posts or threads may form a contract so they shouldn't be deleted.
However you can delete your own posts although they are soft deleted and therefore retrievable and visible to the mods.
