Trouble with posting

This happens often enough for me to be confident it's not a thick fingers issue...

I type a reply to a post and read it through. Then decide to add another sentence. Often, when I hit the third or fourth key, the post posts itself and what appears on the Forum is missing the last bit.

I used to assume I had unwittingly hit a shortcut key that I didn't know would somehow submit my reply but now it seems like it's something else altogether.

Any ideas?

Yeah, is it possible that your mouse is over, or has highlighted the submit reply button? When you press Enter for the next line, it'll submit your post.

Thanks Cie - I'll keep my eye on that to see if it's what happens; it seems unlikely but it could be. I've put the arrow over the submit reply button during this post to see if anything happens

There, just hit enter twice, with the submit button highlighted - nope that's not it. Good thought though

Windows uses a lot of short cut keys that most users don;t realise exists.

Take for instance the "Backspace Key" this key instead of removing the last character can invoke a "PAGE BACK" command if the focus isn;t on the typing area. Other keys work in various ways (like the enter key) but for them to work the focus needs on the main window and not within the typing area (i.e. No flashing cursor within the typing area)
