I've noticed that most pages in this forum come up fairly quickly but I often give up on the Home Page loading and find another route in....

I thought it was my network too slow. glad its not just me! takes minutes sometimes to get on the forum home page.

no i've got the same problem as well

can't access the forum direct from my favourites
can only get access by opening a link in my e mails
once in i can view any page except home

That is might mighty slow yeah. I never look at that though.

Use this link and then bookmark that - takes you straight to the forums.

The webring is out of service so could be that causing it to stop, wait then timeout!

The webring isn't actually out of service is just that ATiC have decided not to manage it any more and the images were hosted on their server.
I've taken that bit of code out and its still running slowly. I'll do some investigating.

It never bothered me...It's just that it's been happening on mine for yonks so I just wondered.
