Sorry about the problem yesterday all.

Merula our web hosts brought back up our server late last night after an outage lasting from 13:42.

I'm afraid I wasn't aware until gone 7pm when I came back in from being in the garden and garage and saw the texts and emails to say that the site was down.

I emailed Merula at 19:01 and they rebooted our server, which seems to have fixed the fault, at about 22:00.
Merula don't know what caused the problem, only that rebooting fixed it.

We're on a bargain basement hosting service due to the cost, and hence the delay in recovering it, but we're exploring a bit more of a managed service to see if we can improve things.
