    Timing out

Last night and this morning I was posting on our charity thread (about kids charities)..

When I went to submit the post, on both occasions I was asked to sign in again and lost my posts..they were quite long (for me) because of the subject and I type slowly.

Is the site set to "time out" for some sort of security reason...if so..can we make it a bit longer.

I'm not getting signed off on the "e" site...if it's any help.

Cabby when you sign in if you click the box to keep yourself signed in this doesn't happen. Also if you click the back browser after you sign back in you should be able to get back to your post and copy it to repost. That's what I usually do

When this has happened to me, after I've logged back in the post I was sending is there, or sent, if the log in dialogue box appeared after I clicked send

    Re: Timing out

Thanks...I tried the back button etc..didn't work...just got the fresh posting screen again.

Wouldn't be a big deal but these were longer postings than i normally make and what with the subject (Kids Hospices)..I didn't have the heart for it again. (I'm not cynical ALL the time)....I'll try again later.

    I'll tick that box.

Why does it do that though..?

I imagine it is so that if you walk away from the computer for a period of time no one else can post under your username.

Cabby when it asks you to log in again, use the large boxes that appear in the middle of the screen and not the ones in the top right hand corner and it will direct you straight back to the page you were originally on
