    pm's again

    Dave / mods:

Sorry if this has been covered anywhere else, but just a thought / question. I guess that as a non subscribed member, you are not able to read a recieved pm ???

Only reason i ask is that i was going to pm a couple of guys on here, but i'm sure theyre not subscribed, so will they be able to read the message (or only in their own seperate e-mail perhaps?) ?

    Cheers. Ant.

    Re: pm's again

Interesting question, but yes that's correct.
Try it and see what happens.
I will quite happily give people a grace period whilst everyone get's used to this so if they contact me I'll add them a subscribed member temporarily whilst they sort themselves out.
It may be that they will see the PM on email to them but won't be able to reply to you.
The bottom line of course is that we're trying to get people to subscribe, for a minimal amount (1/2 tank of fuel) which covers them for the WHOLE year.

Oh !!!..... this could explain why i dont seem to have PM facility ah well, must have missed something.

but as i paid a voluntary subscription of £10 at christmas 07 ( joined nov 07) i assumed this would suffice for a year.

i am not opposed to a subscription, it would just have been helpfull if admin had sent a pm to inform me the facility was being removed, (i presume it would have took the same effort as removing facility ?)

it may be an idea to put something on the home page so that new members and indeed existing members can see easily the new requirement's. (or have i missed something else!!.. not unusual for me.)

    Hi Airwolf

There was a thread about it here:

    Subscriptions

It was stickied in the chatter section until a week ago.
