I suspect that your upload was bigger than the maximum allowed... which I forget the figure now, possibly 8MB, could be 4MB or even 2!!
The way it works is a bit stupid as it has to upload them all to then find out that the file size is too big and can't process it! Doh!

Ok I've just heard back from our web hosts the slow running was caused by a hacking attempt at Merula.
So nothing to do with us but another site they host elsewhere.
