So before I had chance to reply, the whole thread reagrding Varadero manuals has been removed!
Well for your information, the manual I have was written by a Varadero enthusiast (which I thought we all were here anyway) as a replacement for owners like myself who bought bikes second hand that did not have the official manual with it.
There is no copyright material in it.
It contains very valuble information regarding servicing and maintenance etc.
This is so typical of many forums around today.
Some people need to get their heads out of their arses.

If it's the owners manual then it's written by Honda, no-one else... As for the original thread the original person was asking for a copy of the PDF manual and against the sites copyright rules..Rules that everyone agrees to when they join up, hence the thread was removed.

Adrian, We have a difficult job to do I'm afraid.
The manual you are referring to I would guess is still copyright to the creator or the publisher if it's a published work.
It's a fine line to tread of course, but I can assure you that Haynes in particular pursue copies of their manuals or promotion of copies of the manual with great vigour. In fact it was a member of this very forum a number of years ago that alerted Haynes to a copy circulating on eBay.

So, sorry you're feeling a little bruised, but if you can show me something from the author that shows they are very happy for it be circulated then there will no problem. I hope you can understand we're just trying to protect you, ourselves and the forum from any solicitors letters!
