    Spelling

Is it me or is the site using US English?

I've checked that my browser (Firefox) is using English spelling, so why is the forum complaining when I spell tyre or colour, but not tire or color??

By complaining, I mean sticking a red line underneath the correctly (for UK English) spelt word.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

    Re: Spelling

This is one of the better educated bike sites. The spelling on some of the others is atro atroc atros atrocio...... bloody terrible.

My particular niggle at the moment is the number of people that use their 'breaks' to slow down and complain that things 'brake' when they stop working.

Also people who have received a 'summonds' from the rozzers.

Oh yeah and the ones who have got a 'puncher'. This is not, as I first thought, a small boxer in the cupboard under the stairs, but a nail in their tyre.

I'm off to lie down in a darkened room.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

There is no speilchucker in the forum software. It's your web browser doing it to you.

    Very good.

This is driving me nuts! I've installed the latest pukka English-GB version of Firefox and I'm still being shown spelling errors!!!!

However, on my laptop that is running the En-us version of firefox, the English spellings are OK.

Just what the heck is going on??

    Confused!

Right click on the word underlined, at the bottom of that menu is languages and look at what language you are using. If you do not have English/United Kingdom, the add language and choose it.
