I have had a similar problem with photos at 10 Mega Pixel, but up to 6 Mega Pixel, I have no problems at all.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Re: Posting pictures

Magwa can you please do me a favor as I'm currently looking into other problems and PM me the exact link of the page where you upload your pictures (I'm asking for this as there are multiple ways of uploading on this site)

Also do you have the latest version of Java installed? Just go HERE and it'll tell you when you click the download button if you have or not..

Lastly can you do me a screen shot if possible of the error page and email it to me at

the above view with the little 'x's in boxes is what you get when you high light/ cut / paste into this page.

I've only just got the hang of that

    Sorry

if it aint got a carbs fixed to it I'm fairly U/s
But the simple upload was how I got all my pic's onto this site but it just stopped working 4 days ago?

    Re: Posting pictures

Can you go to the upload page and just simply copy the URL (the address line) into this thread for me...

Also can you send me the picture itself to the email I gave in the last post. Just that unless we can duplicate the problem or know exactly where it is then sorry to say we just simply can't rectify it.

I get this far then it won't upload

I get this page when i try to upload
    http://www.xrv.org.uk/photopost/bulkupload.php

this is what Ive tested to try and get it to upload

    http://www.xrv.org.uk/photopost/bulk...umbs=&mature=0

Ive tried to upload and the list grows each day but won't upload it now says things about 'bulk upload'
I did check and I do have the latest Java stuff loaded

If you look at my folder in the Members gallery Ive been posting without problems for two yrs plus
its all gone pear shaped at the momement and Ive done nothing different?

    Hope that helps ?

    Re: Posting pictures

Can you try Login - Honda Trail Bike Forums and attempt to upload a single photo please, if that works use the same URL for more please..

Also please send us the pictures you are trying to upload to the email I gave earlier.. It's just that we have had problems with certain pictures before and we are currently trying to sort out that issue.. Knowing what pics you are attempting to upload will tell us if it's the same problem or one unique to yourself.

    Re: Posting pictures

Firstly I've merged the two recent threads regarding picture uploading problems by Magwa and PDSquire

When a picture is uploaded it gets processed so that the system can handle it, the problem is that the processing takes up a lot of memory to the extent that the large detailed pictures are effectively running out of the memory allocated to this process. Now we have tried allocating more memory to the process but it's still not enough. Before though we attempt to allocate more memory we have to look at the impact on the rest of the forum as this is the primary side of XRV and not the gallery..

Before someone says that the picture that they're trying to upload is only a few megabytes I'd like to point out that a JPEG picture in a file is in a compressed state. PDSquire sent me a 3.1Mb picture that when uncompressed is over 10 times the size and during processing has error out after using more than 80MB of memory..

So to keep it simple, if you want to use the XRV gallery you can resize your pics a bit smaller and you should find that they will work. If you don't have a resize program then try google as there's lots of online image resizing websites about.

    We'll though keep you updated

    Re: Posting pictures

OK, further to the last the the webmasters have managed to configure the memory a bit more and now the images which were reported to us and sent to us are now working..

Can I ask others that have been having problems to please confirm that this has solved the problem.
