Problem posting pics

Just uploaded a couple of pics to my gallery (brake pistons) but when I try to add them to a post I just get a small grey box/icon thingy; adding older pics seems fine.

I just tried logging out and in again but same problem.

Should I try something else?

i upload mine to photobucket then [ img]url[ /img] no spaces

Anyone having problems uploading pictures can you please send a copy to the admin email

Just that without the picture we can't diagnose the problem.

In the mean time please remember that the picture system has limitations like picture size, picture memory (compressed and uncompressed), picture type and also whether you're uploading them individually or all together..

Also rememner that you may have a 10Mp camera but those viewing them on the web might not need a picture larger than 1600*1200 anything larger might put strain on the server causing it to error out (we're not a photographic agency and the servers configured as a forum )

According to iPhoto the last image I tried was 518 x 318 so well within the limits....

Sorry it's taken so long..

Dave - I'm not having any problems at all with them pics.. (they're uploaded on my default album if you wish to use them onsite )

Have you fully updated your java? How many pictures do you currently have in your album? As there is a limit have you tried creating a new album and uploading there.

Also do you get any error messages and which part of the upload process does it get stuck on.

Also when you try again can you log for me the exact time so I can look in the logs please

Stuart - The Aprillia pic errors out, try altering the file name to see if that corrects the problem, I'll see what I can do from this end

Stuart - I put your picture into paint shop pro and just resaved it, worked fine after that. You'll find it uploaded into my gallery..

Can you download it and re-upload it to see if that's cured the issue.. But in the end I think it was the picture and not the software

Now can I get back to suffering, we have a bout of piggy flu here.. I'm 7+ days and Jen's 3+ days

??? me again, I downloaded the photo that Kymmy sorted ( thanks ) but when I try to upload it I get the message "unaceptable format" ?

What OS, web-browser are you using, just that the downloaded copy should work no problem, also as I asked fridge can you log the time at your attempt and any error code or which part of the upload sequence it fails at
