    Lidl's Bike to Bike Radio

    Come with 3 year warrenty.

We tried them out today on a short ride, cost £25 each so a set for 2 riders cost £50.

The Microphone and headsets were a reasonable quality and easy to fit to the helmets, a boom mic that is suitable for flippy top lids. Push to talk button again not bad quality

THe radios worked OK when the bikes were next to each other at traffic lights but once moving it was very difficult to understand the speech and the range of the radios were probably about 2 km any more than that and they were broken and unreadable.

    What a bummer!

I treated myself to some of these (and got rear-ended on the way home!) so I'm sort of hoping mine perform better than yours!

The only complaint I have so far is that they're not very loud through the headphones, so I can understand why they might be a bit hard to hear on the move.

    Fingers crossed

Gave these a first real test this weekend, Chesterfield to Skegness. Not too impressed. Audio quality / volume was OK to chat at stops or really slow moving traffic. Even then most conversations seemed to consist of asking each other "What did you say?", "Say again". Push to talk is a royal pain when filtering or queing.

    so, overall ratings:

Easy to install, individual components seem to be of good quality, looks like value for money until you try to use it!

On the upside my better half now thinks a good intercom is a great idea even though she is aware it will cost more than £50. Could be the kids will benefit from it, they have been asking for a walkie talkie toy!
I'm on the Safe House List
03 TA Blue, Givi bars, centre stand, Givi Pannier racks, heated grips, MRA Vario - smooth!

    Also 4x4 with a towbar - and a trailer!

If I may add to this
I have an Autocom system, probably the best system on the market, I had a cable made up to fit the Twintalker into the system and it did not improve anything.
Anyone thinking of buying a set of these for Bike to Bike coms save your money, they may make a great childs xmas pressie but no good for coms.

I have now bought a set of radios from Midland the G7 so I'll post a report when they arrive
