    Trail Riding in Wales

Just recently did a weekend with a mate of mine at a trail big tour company in Wales. Run by a husband and wife with a wealth of experience and local knowledge, they are now beginning to tailor days for big bikes running on easier routes than their normal runs.

None of the the routes we did were excessively challenging, but you will need some experience. However, she will always tailor to the needs if you got a goup of a few together, she would do a day just for you and do what you want.

This is well worth doing as you can ride without the worry of were to go whils knowing that the trails you do will be the besta nd the scenery the best Wales can offer. The lady is Marianne and her website is www.trailrides-wales.com

She has a date in place for 4th June.

    This is one to do!!!!!!

My guess is that we could do the same with the knowledge we have available to us.
We don't tap in to this at the moment enough.
After spending last Saturday on a rideout led by Barftone, with Boboneleg, and various others, and especially Paul, I reckon the combined experienced there they could teach any tour guide a route or two.

Interesting thought..... how about we pay the petrol for anyone that would like to lead us out on a day around the Welsh tracks? All the rest could chuck in a couple of quid to perhaps pay the petrol and for a bite to eat for the leader??

I agree and I am more than capable of looking at a map and leading a route. However, there is no substitute for local knowledge and also knowing the locals!!! Going with a local guide does mean that you can sometimes ride routes that are privately owned as the guide has an agreement.
