    Hi-viz that doesn't suck!

Those of you who saw me at Chelsea Bridge a couple of months ago, will be relieved to hear that I have given up the hideeous long sleeved dayglo monstrosity that I was wearing. Maybe next time you'll let me stand on the same side of the road as the rest of you?

I'm still a believer in Hi-viz as a part of my scheme for staying in one piece, but I had enough of it flapping around and filling my mirrors with lurid yellow. And it looked bad. Really bad. So now I've got something that does the job, and actually looks OK too.

I bought it from CBXMan on ADVrider http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109776 who charged $60 including airmail delivery. I paid with Paypal, and the parcel arrived in six days from first contact. It's a good bit of kit, and the service was excellent. Recommended all round!

    Hey
Like the look of the Vest . Obviously from the USA the sizes will be a little different so just wondering what size you are and what size you ordered. Also it looks like a padded vest, is it quite thick? still good for summer? and it sounds like its tear resistant?

    Cheers for listening

    Ben

Check out the ebay shop "performancemotosports". $40 (£21) or best offer, shipping to UK for $18.80 (£10). Marginally cheaper as it stands, may be worth making a silly offer...
flat out on utterly inappropriate tackle

    $30 offer was accepted, so that's $48.80 all-in, or around £26.

You could try a lower offer if you're feeling cheeky...

    There are two sizes:

Regular fits X-Small to X-Large jacket sizes
    Super-Size fits 2X-Large to 4X-Large jacket sizes

It's adjustable so you caneasily get a good fit. I'm 6'6" and the Super-size one is fine but at its limit.

    It's thin fabric, but tough.

That's a a very good price. Did it come through OK?

BTW performancemotosports is the name of the seller, but the shop is performance motosports (with the space). Took me a while to find it!

It came though a few days ago - around a week for delivery I think.

It's a far better bit of kit than the standard dayglo vests, though not as handy if you wanted to keep it stashed under the seat or something, as it's a bit more bulky. IMHO it's not bad looking at all, and with a fabric jacket it certainly doesn't look out of place; there's no disguising the fact you're bright orange, but it passes for normal riding kit rather than looking like you're wearing a wally bib...

Having read this posting I too have ordered a yellow one from http://stores.ebay.com/onlinepartsstore
I agree, they look much better than my current Motorway Cone Technician waistcoat, and hopefully will match my Richa jacket a little better.
Nice to know one doesn't have to look a complete tool to be noticed by myopic car drivers.
