    Touratech – dreadful service again

Well, the move to bigger better premises doesn't seem to have done anything to improve Touratech's apalling service.

I ordered a couple of little bits back on June 9th, figuring that should be plenty of time for them to arrive and have them fitted before The Longest Day. I received an email on the same day telling me the order was being processed.

On June 13th, I get a call to tell me they cant process the order with the credit card details I've supplied. I read the card details back and sure enough there's a discrepancy with the expiry date. Well, when you enter your details online, if there's a problem, it tells you there and then. So this wasn't my error.

I stressed to the girl on the phone that I really needed the parts by Monday 16th and she said she couldn't guarantee this. Quite why I'm not sure...if they went in the post Friday afternoon they should be with me Monday morning no problems. Anyway, I said to please let me know if they weren't going to go out on the Friday as I could give them an alternative delivery address and pick them up at my parents place in Edinburgh en-route to JOG. Fine they said.

To cut a long story short, they never arrived.

I was about to call them this morning when they called me, telling me they had the stuff sitting there, waiting for me to call back and give them an alternative delivery address. <sigh> Couldn't really have been much less apologetic if they'd tried. "Am I bovvered?" sprung to mind.

Yet another black mark. I said I'd never use them again after my last encounter with their "customer services"...but some things you can't get elsewhere. Ho hum.

I'm suprised there's anything left to bolt on - it's in full 'Pimp' mode already......

Seriously though Rob - is there anything we can do for you?

I have an IMO trip computer on my @ and since they had it back to cure water getting in the rev counter will not work, the new screen they fitted is much too bright at night (and no adjustment). it now lets more water in, and i am £180 down.... it has ruined the pleasure of a usefull bit of kit.

oh and it took 2 months for them to get it looked at with no feedback during the whole process....

all in all totaly crap service !!
