Thumbs up Chiswick Honda - Great guys!

    Hi All,

Just wanted to chime in about Chiswick Honda.

Dropped my Triumph off last week with a flat rear. They replaced the tube, and found that the rear was down to 1.6 millimetre. The price for the tire was higher than the price I could get online, so I asked if I could order the tire myself, and if they'd fit it.

No problem! I ordered the tire from Moto-tires.co.uk (i think), and got a call yesterday that my tire had arrived and it was fitted.

Turned up today to pick up the bike, total bill: £40. They didn't charge for fitting the tire, it was the same price as they quoted for the tube.

The bike turns up, and they've washed it too!

All in all, I'm very happy about the service.

    Chiswick Honda - NEVER AGAIN!!!

i dropped my Africa Twin off two months ago with a flat rear tyre.
The day after they called me and told that "due to wind your bike has fallen".

More than 700£ of damage and they refused to pay, help or find a solution. I have managed by myself to repair and fix some scratches, broken fairings, bended crashbar etc etc.

    NEVER AGAIN

    Bulls Eye,
I dont quite understand that, if the bike fell over, got nicked or burnt to the ground while in the safe hands of an insured workshop then their insurance will pay for the repairs, if you have have any hassle go to the trading standards and report them, something there is not right, don't let yourself get shafted.

i agree with you...i spent 3 weeks to explain my posision
    i wrote to honda uk
    i phoned to cunmerdirect
The dealer treated my like a stupid and with a lot of arrogance.
The real problem is that i'm an italian in a foreign country. I had to work i didn't have much time, i didn't know the law or someone that could help me....

Anyway now is too late...the only think that i can do now is to avoid this dealer and suggest to all my friend to do the same.

Being a foreigner myself I used to get the feeling I was being badly treated cos I didn't know my rights or have the language skills to get satisfaction, you have my sympathy, sorry that you have been badly treated I can only hope it stays a one off and the next dealer treats you as a valued customer.

That does suck! Seems like a very childish thing to do, especially when they should be insured to the hilt for this...

I only went there for the tire, as they don't do regular non-honda maintenance...

    Dear Bullseye,
Just wanted to ask if you recalled who gave you a hardtime and bad service? (was it the Service Manager Paul Wilson??) as my husband has just had an issue with his bike post-service from Honda Chiswick and hes not very happy with how its all being dealt with. Thanks

I am sorry to hear the bad stories about whaat should my locaal honda dealer.....bullseye I am Italian too but in my 17 years in this contry I always found that that if you know tha right rules and people to talk to, your nationality doesn't really matter or shouldn't....
I had an issue with them once about front calipers on my AT but I refused to give in and in the end they had to get their acts together but they tryed their best to screw me.
But as I said you have all my simpathy...sono proprio stronzi alle volte...

Please Don't start on the RACE thing, foreigners don't get treated any differently to anybody else in this country

Iv'e bought one brand new @ and one CB500 from them. They are great with washing your bike over and giving up frothy coffee while your waiting. On the downside, slick as the whole show is,I don't think the mech's are too well experienced and even less interested in doing a proper job.Iv'e had a couple of things done that I should have done myself but I was in a hurry. £175 to replace @ throttle cables ? & four hours to fit a scottoiler (so they told me) and the feeder was fitted to drip on the top side of the chain behind the front sprocket . Any way that was a long time ago ! I've spent a lot of money and bought a good number of bikes since then and all that money has been spent else ware.I don't think they are particularly bad,it's just that most big main dealers just don't give a to*s once they've bagged the initial bike sale.
