    Mechanics in Fife/Lothians?

Hello all - can I ask, does anyone have any recommendations on dealers or mechanics either in the Fife area or in the Lothians? I really need to get my cam chains done, and the alternative is buying the parts (and tools as I don't have an alternator puller) and hoping for good weather. Not good odds on the latter, and I don't have time, so a trusted dealer would be ideal....

Thanks in advance for any pearls of wisdom you might have!

I know it is a wee bit away but YPE in Bonnyrigg are excellant and quite reasonable - ask for Stuart. They do most of the racing engines etc in Scotland. I have used them on and off (as I do most things myself) as they are just down the road from me. They are almost always very busy so you might have to wait a bit, but can usually leave your bike with them till they can do the work if that is possible.

Thanks phatsaff - that's just what I need. I'll follow them up and see how much they might charge and when they might be able to fit me in...
