    Hi Steve

Yes, for one think its a good idea..

As you say it would be good to meet up before the weather closes in.

Have you any ideas about a meeting place.

    You bringing your laptop computer..?

I could be up for something before the weather takes too much of a turn for the worst.

    Probably just one night though

Fiona and myself are off work this week to catch up on little jobs that needed done but we're hoping to get away towards the end of the week. Due to weather pattern (rain in west) I'm planning on heading S.E Dufftown, Rhynie, Ballater, Glenshee to Pitlochry. Loop round by Green welly stop, Fort William and home by my favourite road, Spean bridge to Aviemore. Nothing firm planned yet but we'll see.

Nice little run there Jim - shame I've got to work!

I was thinking of popping down to Glen Lyon, near Aberfeldy I think it is, via a similar route to yours Jim. Good run from up here and for those in the central belt. Don't know of any camping sites in that area (bound to be some though), but I'd be happy just to make it a days run down & back.

    Any other suggestions?

    Steve T

I know at under 400 miles it's a Sunday run normally but Fiona's taking her Beemer so we'll make a two day event of it! Might leave here Friday afternoon, stop Pitlochry for a night, although a campsite might be tricky, big sign at the nearest site says NO BIKERS!
That'll give me the weekend down there. Open to suggestions any how. Might see you down that way Steve.

I will need to drop out this one , new lifeboat coming to station so have additional training plus promised the kids we would go for some cycles before the weather turned.

    Have fun and stay safe...

As discussed on the phone just now, I'll await your call before setting out timings .
Might have to try out the new-to-me boxes on a longer run than just round to the Mounties & back
