Right, I'm popping down to Glen Lyon tomorrow for a spin, as the weather seems set to be fine (cue thunderstorm) .

Leaving Elgin at around 9 and hoping to be there about mid day if anyones interested in meeting up.
Going via Aviemore, Newtonnmore, Laggan, Dalwhinnie!, A9 to turnoff for Trinafour, Tummel Bridge then on to Glen Lyon.

Heres hoping for a dry day

    By Loch Tummel & Loch Rannoch . . .

Right, sing along - "By Loch Tummel & Loch Rannoch & Pitlochry I did go . . ."
302 miles, mainly in sunshine Absoloutly no pictures 'cos I was enjoying the ride. Route to Glen Lyon as per my last post, then over the pass at the end of the glen, back towards Killin, Pitlochry for fuel, Kirkmicheal, Breamar, Tomintoul & home.
Great ride out in super weather, that got wet as I crossed back into Moray - which was fine cos it tested out my panniers - no leaks from any bolt holes = result.
Shame no one else was out & about

SteveT, what can I say? I was mucking around today, eventually went to Inverness to the movies to see Zombieland! Was a hoot!
If I'd seen your post I may well have came for a run! Was out with the bike yesterday but just a quick blast.
Moral of the story? A bit more notice! I did check the forum after tea but went off to do something else in the evening so I've only just seen this post! Sorry mate!

Well theres always next weekend, isn't there!

Dont tell anyone, but a certain large volume poster on this forum is crossing the wall for a ride round the top this coming weekend, so we could always plan an intercept?

    Just a thought

Hmmm, I'm booked in to Wullie's for my service on Saturday so grounded till lunchtime! After that though, as long as it's not snowing of course!

Aye, might be up for a run.

Sorry mate, Wales in February? I've no snow chains for the Vara and no intention of taking it out on salty roads! Not for me.
