More than a few years back I was riding in Ireland with some guys. We were exploring the west coast, dropping down from the dunes to cane it along the beaches. At the beach shown below we managed to get down onto the closest bit of sand for a good razz around. Then while the rest of us were searching for a way through the dunes to the middle beach, one of my mates thought he'd get his XR400 around the headland. Needless to say he almost floated off to America. We spent a good deal of time draining the water out, and tow-starting the bike along the beach. We had to change the oil twice to get all the water out. Let that be another lesson to you.
