Top Tip, for uploading videos, use http://video.google.com They host them for free. It does take a day to vet them.

I took a few videos, and uploaded them, I should be able to post the links tomorrow.

No problem, it's a good thing your horn goes off on it's own,or you might still be there now Hope the bruises aren't too painfull, see you on Friday.

That was me. I tried to keep it interesting building up to the trickier stuff.
And a stirling job you did too! I'm still grinning like an idiot, thinking of all the times I nearly binned it today.

I wish I'd taken my GPS now so I could have saved a track of the route and used it again - it seems daft having all that playground on my doorstep and not knowing my way round! I chickened out in the end as the GPS mount on the XR is a bit exposed, and I convinced myself I'd drop the bike and break it.

Have you got a list of the tracks I could steal off you at some point? Not sure how easy that is to do if your GPS is a PDA and mine's a Garmin tho.... Can borrow a PDA with tomtom 5 on it if that helps?

Oh - also found this on my travels today - http://www.army.mod.uk/linked_files/...bury_plain.pdf

Thanks for a great day out. First days off-roading and on road tyres too, No Problem!!
This was one off the best days out I have had in years. When is the next one as I cannot wait.
On the way back home across the north of the plain large plumes of smoke could be seen, it must have been one hell of a fire.

Ta Ta for now

Definitely a great day despite having it cut short. Congratulations to especially the n00bies for coming along and keeping it upright most of the time. Hopefully this is the first of many more such ride-outs for you guys too.

Washed mine when I got in yesterday afternoon, could not believe how much mud came off.

Thought I'd done a reasonable job of cleaning it up. Went to get it out today, and it's still caked in mud. Will need another clean next weekend, perhaps with the tank and seat off, to get to those parts the pressure washer cannot reach...
