It was great to meet you all - especially as there was a good mix of different models (AT, TA, Vara' etc.) Counting all the members who came and went at various times - including the ones who just stopped at Abergavenny to meet us - I think about 15 were involved in some way or other. I hope we can get some pics up sometime.
Great! My trip meter showed only 199.8 miles. I was tempted to go around the block to make it click over the 200. It certainly felt more than 200 miles - I guess one mile along those narrow mountain lanes are worth two!Originally Posted by cabbage2404

Dave pics have been sent to your email. we clocked up 230 miles by the time we got home. Will sleep well tonight.
I think the best roads were those between Abergavenny and Tal-y bont. Worst roads were the ones first from Monmouth to abergavenny (lots of mud and crap on the road which made it a bit slippy especially on the corners.) the bit around Llyn Briane were ver interesting and at times I wondered if it would be the sheep, wind, slippy red stuff in the middle of the road, or very tight corners on steep bends that would get me, managed to survive I am glad the 4 bike behid were patient though I did warn you that I ride like a girl![]()

. Lovely scenary everywhere.
THe lonelist bit was as Mr Mable and myself pulled up the Hirwaun road and you all went towards the A470, empty mirrors and only a GS in front. We had a great day and Mr Mable says thanks for letting him tag along he really enjoyed himself.

Today was a great rideout, great to meet you all, hope there will be many more rideouts, roll on the summer
A large group of us met on the Wye valley Link Road at Chepstow. Introductions all around.
We rode aloong the Wye Valley then through Rockfield to Abergavenny to meet three more members. Time for a coffee.
From Abergavenny alongside the canal to Tal Y Bont on Usk for lunch at the White Hart Inn. The weather was too wet to sit outside by the canal, so we raided the bar.
When we got back outside, the weather had cleared up.
(Me and Jason or "Mr Mabel" as he prefers to be known.)
From there we rode past Brecon to Trecastle and over the MOD ranges. Lots of gravel roads in the area; I wonder if we'll be able to arrange an off-road meeting there?
We then connected to the roads around the Lynne Brianne. Very narrow and twisty, but great fun! No pictures, unfortunately. Back down to Landovery where - of course - we had to stop for a coffee.
We said our farewells there because we didn't plan to stop again.
We headed back to Brecon and down the A470. Mabel and Mr Mabel turned down the A4059, and stopped at a spot overlooking the A470 to watch the parade of big trail bikes overtaking all the cages.
They stopped at Tonypandy for an ice cream at Mr Creamy's... but the rest of us weren't invited
Hope you enjoyed it, Jay!
