    Easter weekend lakes meet report

After loading the alp or overloading Headed upto scotch corner to meet up with Phil.

Headed over to keswick. On the way in needed to fill up. On way out nearly totalled fuel pump Didnt notice one of the pipes stickin out and knocked pipe to the floor. Ohh well. Into keswick, had a wonder round and met up with paulsmc.

Headed out to buttermere. Scenery just stunning, honister pass just incredible. Not the easiest of roads to ride though with a loaded barge with tyres due for replacement. Rear flatted and front due as well, just felt front was going to fold under all the time. Dunlops now ordered....

Tornado was waiting for us at buttermere. At this point im starting to really wonder about these Africa twin riders..... The pc cooling fan over the icu and an electronic chain oiler thats more hi tech than the electronics that run the bike

Adventurer Arrived after riding past us twice. We all pitched the tents...Myself taking the longest...First time out with the new tent. Adventurers aka Andy tent was bloody huge

and he was eyeing up one that he could get the africa in the awning These africa twin riders......

Headed back into keswick for beers, disposable bbqs and snap. Had a nice ride around on the way in to keswick.

Got back to the site. Phil took command of the bbq's.

Sat back chatting and eating and drinking. Started to turn really cold. Everyone reaching for the bike jackets.

Onto the pub and what a nice pub and it was so warm in there Bliss... And they sold draught Budweiser

Paulsmc aka Paul reinforced the fact that the glaswegians are hard. Sleeping in his bivi

with a sleeping back that was just a little thin...The army blanket that covers my alp in the garage was thicker.... It threw it down with rain apparently during the night but I never heard a thing. Warm as toast in my 4 season kipping bag. (im not nesh though phil)

Phil cooked breakfast. Bacon and sausage sarnies. We then all packed up and headed off in own directions. First time out camping / touring with the bike for me. Had a ball and made some great friends.

only a few pics so had to grab a few off the net to show the scenery.

Hope you all got back safe lads, thanks for a great weekend

    Paul

No just shrunk the pics down. As I said the pics of the scenery are off the web. My nokia isnt that good, and we didnt take many pics but just put those up so everyone could see the stunning scenery.
