    Salisbury Plain 11 June 06

..will possibly be remembered for the river crossing/ford.

There he was, leading from the front, into the long puddle, a bit bumpy, but no real problem, depth was probably just on the feet.. 2/3rds the way through then.... submarine mode

Barftone's impression was excellent, and he powered through, appearing on the other side with a grin on his face.

"you are having a laugh" I heard myself mumble.. and I did, it was some drop, and I think I got the bow wave practically over my screen!!

    Can't wait for the photo's.

Thanks to all those that made if happen.

So much for embedding, here's one of them:

Other one's not ready yet, I'll sort it out after I'm back from church.

It didn't go so well after you left us Cie.
We set off down another green lane, with Lee on the TA taking the lead. He met some kids coming full pelt on Mini Moto's on the wrong side of the track.
He had to swerve to avoid them, collided with the lad and came off himself with his step-daughter on. Bad news.
Thankfully no-one was badly hurt although the lad had a twisted knee, gravel rash and knackered ankle.
Lee's boot was ripped open, but thankfully it wasn't his leg!
Lee's step-daughter was shaken up but ok, so all in all a lucky escape......
apart from Lee's TA which although was just about rideable after some fiddling suffered a bit of front end damage.

Not good, not good at all. And they're the kind of pillocks that have bought about the change in the law to prevent us using RUPPs.

I'm sure it would have been very tempting to vent at these idiots, but I'm guessing an informative phone call to Plod might go some way to resolving the illegal riding issue.

I hope Lee gets the TA fit again, and that his step daughter isn't put off riding. From what I saw, she was with one of the best riders there!

Lee got the lads dad down to the scene and they exchanged details.
He was adamant that he didn't want the Police involved as I guess the bike would have been confiscated and the lad would have been in deeper water.
