Nice pics Mav. Like the last one alot. Dam'n that pap.... Shame you missed out on the Ace Cafe. You're bike would have been a hit. Not sure you would have been able to do a wheelie but that doesn't matter. We had a great ride to the Ace at the no more than the speed limit of course. That BM suits you Chad. I've never been to the bridge meet before so 'am unable to comment cause I dont' know how it's been. Don't let them richies upset you. While they were stuck in their now peacefull flats, we all were having a ball at the ACE. We must concentrate our energy on keeping Salisbury open for us to go ride on. Good to meet some of you and to see some of you again. :P

So are we at the point of having a monthly meet at Ace instead of Chelsea Bridge? I know I know, we shouldn't have top, but I like the gathering we have going.

And when Chelsea Bridge calms down, we can always move back.

    Thoughts anyone?

Letter going off today to Ken Livingstone, copied to Sir Ian Blair, commissioner of the Met Police, Len Duvall, chair of the Met Police Authority and my MP.
I'm thinking of asking Cherie Blair to take a case under the Human Rights Act.
Light the blue touch paper and retire.

It's official, the residents of the Chelsea Bridge Wharf flats are a bunch of Bankers ...

    http://www.wandsworthguardian.co.uk/...to_bankers.php

Apparently, many of the flats were supposed to be for essential workers who are on relatively low wages, but somehow they've all been sold off to City Bankers and Buy-To-Let speculators. Hands up, all those who are surprised....Yup

I wish all my mates were Bankers......oh but wait

I'd still attend a monthly meet - how about in the Battersea Park Car park? _ they cant keep exluding bikes can they? i checked on Battersea park website, and open times are stated as 8am to dusk. motorcycle parking free. Or we could use this as an initial meeting point perhaps?

Quote from Wandworth councils Parks Police website ( http://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/Home/En...ce/default.htm ):

    Purpose
The Parks Police provides a professional, caring and courteous service to all users of the areas and facilities under its protection as well as providing reassurance, protection and advice to the public whilst upholding the law and maintaining the peace in a firm yet respectful manner.

make of that what you will.

I'd be happy meeting at the Ace, but not sure its really everyones cup of tea. - not everyone is into stunt riders - and i feel sure the place is just a big accident waiting to happen. the better riders definetly were very talented and great to watch and knew what they were doing, but it will only take one idiot to get it wrong big time. And i dont really wish to be there to see this happen - unless the crowds are better protected.

Sorry if i sound boring, but its just my opinion on the place.

I,m not sure of any other areas south of the river to meet up? But i'd consider other places to meet.

As you say Cie, its nice to all get together and put names to faces etc - its just a shame this meet got stopped.

I have to say that in the evening some parts of London are visually quite stunning - especially heading back home along the Thames at night with everywhere lit up .

Everyone knows that the collective noun for Bankers is a "Wunch" and I believe we've just witnessed the reason for that

    Cheers

It was, when all we were really doing was parking on the pavement, and not even vaguely blocking it (as the photos show).

I think that as long as the residents there park on the pavement we're in with a chance of protest.

What annoys me is that places like Poole have 2000 bikers every Tuesday night. What's the difference?
