It was, when all we were really doing was parking on the pavement, and not even vaguely blocking it (as the photos show).

I think that as long as the residents there park on the pavement we're in with a chance of protest.

What annoys me is that places like Poole have 2000 bikers every Tuesday night. What's the difference?

That's a properly organised event in conjunction with the Police and the council.

Looks like the Police are still strongly enforcing the law, so will still be off limits for a meet. See post by Trojan - I think he was the off-duty policeman that the residents in the flats threw an egg and it hit and damaged his bike.

Police in force Friday night. Quiet during the week. Also peds parked by flats during the week so the enforcement appears to be selective...

this ahs been reported on by the mcn this week and the police seem unrepentant and wil enforce the will of the residents through to the end it seems

Y'know chaps I've been looking as I approach Chelsea Bridge from the south side and most of that road is SINGLE YELLOW lines ....except near the pie stall of course.

Cabs etc. on the double yellows every night and no Taliban in sight.

Wouldn't be as good but you can legally park on most of it.

I'll double check.

These same Plods were after us on Albert Bridge 'cos they reckon if we've got a full tank of squirt and a cab full of Bunters with full bladders and colons....we could be over the weight limit..2 tons.

Nothing else to do in the utopian paradise of an inner London borough.

Little update on this...saw a group of about 30 on the pavement by the gates of Battersea Park last night.....they were just 'testing the water'.

Not sure if they were members of any group but I suspect they were.

You can park legally along most of that road at night (might be more restrictions Fridays)...just not on the pavement.
