    Greek Holiday

Went on a family holiday to Halkidiki in Northern Greece recently. This is our usual destination as we love it there for all sorts of reasons. One of them is the fact that I have a days trail riding up in the hills.

Hired the usual bike this year.........DT125, perfectly adequate for the roads and trails on the peninsular

most of the trails are hard packed gravel with the odd bit of sand that can catch you out sometimes

As I was passing through Kassandria which is the biggest town I spotted this guy working on an AT. I stopped for a while to chat with him

Another AT I saw was in Pefkahori, I had a chat with the owner (Mikos) and told him about the website.

In Pefkahori there was a chance to hire a Transalp 650 but it was a bit to much hassle to get there so I stuck with the DT.

    cheers, Bob.

My father has a holiday home in Greece, Africa Twins are very popular over there and in Italy. He has a video he made in Athens and suddenly 2 cops appear right in front of him stop park up and go into a cafe. They were riding Africa Twins !!!!!
