    Xmas Eve ride

I woke up early this morning and didn't want to disturb the family so I went downstairs and put the tele on and started flicking through the channels. It was the usual crap so I decided to go out and ride a few lanes.

It was grey, cold and damp but the heated grips were on so I set off for a few local lanes. They were pretty ****ty but as long I stuck to the ones I knew had a solid surface under the crap I should be OK.

First lane of the day, about 6 miles from my house....

There were some big puddles which made it entertaining.....

I stopped in the next lane to help a farmer hitch his trailer up to his tractor, didn't have a lot of choice as it was blocking the lane. He was very thankful as he had been trying to lift it on his own without sucess.

Did a couple more then headed for this lane.......

The older ones amongst us will understand its link with motorcycles. It also has this sign at the begining so it must be good for trail-bikes

This is the bottom end of the lane, you can see it dissapearing back up the hill between the hedges...

Next I did Sandy lane, a classic sunken lane which used to be quite difficult before it was resurfaced...

Got a chance to use my mini-tripod (and timer) here to get a pic of myself...

Next it was Chillyhill Lane where I came upon this hazard, I don't think it worried me that much but by the looks of the pic my hands must have been shaking

Did a few more but felt like a coffee now so I headed back home. Nice couple of hours out and probably only did 25 miles in total.

    Merry Xmas...........Bob

Wey Hey! Nice one boboneleg, they look far too advanced for me. I am, as I mentioned to Chris a softie Surrey biker and not too experienced at this mudlarking thing. This'll be the second jaunt ever.
Anyway I have got the tape on the PC...and I have watched the crash bits loads with Mrs Obikes and kids. There all very amused at our efforts. BTW L.V..My daughter thinks your bike looks cool with baubles and tinsel. It will take some time to put the DVD's together and also the U Tube post as I think I hear sleigh bells..or is that your baubles LV??? Anyway Thanks Chris for comming all the way down to Surrey and letting us see how it should be done, and for picking my bike up.. ...and the valuable experience I gained while we were there and L.V for arranging it and being a very good sport.
Finaly boboneleg, Sorry to hijack your thread!!
