Yorkshire Meet: Helmsley 25/02/07

A few of us met up a Helmsley today. Mrs. xrv_jim and I couldn't make the ride out ont' moors but here's a few pics to be going on with. Only Honda V Twins in the square at Helmsley...must be a first!

It was good to meet up with you all again & put another name to a face - be warned barbarabainbridge does not look at all like you would expect!!!

We all had a pleasant run out over the North Yorks Moors and the damp weather didn't detract from the pleasure of meeting up with every one or the run out .

Only when we came to the normally firm forest track to Levisham & Lockton alway's a beautiful run & one of my faves, were we defeated, muddy and rutted enough to make the bikes squirm uncomfortably, we made an about turn & kept to tarmac this time.

We finally departed after a cuppa & a (rather fine) bacon butty at Pickering, Ian, Gary & Wally (aka barbara!) heading back to Helmsley then to Stokesley via the TT course, Austin & I swaped bikes for a run to Scarborough, then on to Whitby for a cuppa at Whistlestop.

Unfortunately Mr & Mrs XRV Jim coudn't make the rideout, maybe next time Jim.
Hope that you all returned home safe & sound.
