No, it's not on the east coast of USA but the north coast of Cornwall & Devon.
Wheel out the Black Dog (Led Zep track) -
It's a good mix of fast sweepers and twisty sections and best of all it's quiet this time of year.

It's better suited to sports bikes so the best thing is to get onto the minor coast roads and big trailly territory -

Crackington Haven. Got a pounding by floods tha same day as Boscastle but not as much media coverage. You could never tell now as both villages have recovered. Hard to imagine the scenes when several homes and many cars were washed away. I think 6 or 7 rescue helicopters from RAF, RNAS and Coastguard were doing rescue after rescue that day. AND NOBODY DIED.
Unfortunately some armpit in Whitehall has decided to close the RAF base at Newquay so let's hope it doesn't happen again (but let's do hope said armpit gets into difficulty on his yacht out of rescue range).
Onwards to a little place called Millook, just a handful of houses on the beach. Who needs the Alps!?
Now the drop down into Widmouth Bay. Almost come a cropper before this on some seriously steep hairpins. Would have got you a photo but was a bit busy controling bike & sphincter.
Onto Exmoor which still looked a bit winterized - but beautiful. Some lovely villages on the moor with nice looking boozers, must have a night there sometime.
Now south from the centre of the moor on the A396. What a jewel, snakes it's way to Tiverton alongside the River Exe. Good on a trailly, would be even better on a Supermoto. The bloke I saw on a SuperDuke looked to be enjoying himself.
Stopped off for obligatory sunset shot on the return leg, ahhhhhhhh!![]()
