    Coastal Wales then some Mountains

Just been out today practicing for July,so we headed out down the M4 towards Camarthen. At Camarthen we headed west.

First stop was at Pembroke docks which is the first castle in Wales on our tour. Now the plan today was to recce all of the stopping points in Wales unfortunately MR Mabel seemed to get carried away and forgot to stop at the castle. We did stop but only to dig out 35 p to cross Narbeth bridge then onwards to Fishguard. Now bearing in mind it's not a good time in the grand scheme of things - PMT and all that, and poor Mr Mabel is already in the dog house for forgetting to stop at the castle I am muttering to myself in my helmet. We stop at some tempoary traffic lights and I indicate to MR M that I am hungry and need a cup of tea. 30 minutes later he seems to have forgotten so I get a little grumpier . I have discovered that having PMT inside a motorcycle helmet is very unpleasent, poor Jason only had to sit wrong on Bolts and i was grumpy with him and muttering so much that I got on my own nerves. Of course I didn't tell him that because there must have been some reason for me to be irritable with him

Finally we reach Fishguard and stop in Crosswells for lunch which puts a smile back onto my face for a little while.

We then head towards the harbour for our next stop and hunt for good places to take piccies.

Monkey wanted to get in on this one too

From fishguard we headed West up the coast towards Aberaeron and then onto stopped at Aberwystwyth for a quick comfort stop for Mr M (the Welsh lads will know how many times Mr M needs to pee)

We were going to stop for a cuppa on the sea front but unfortunately all of the little cafe's were shut so we continued up towards Devils Bridge and Cwmystwyth were the next point of the Welsh section in July is.

We stopped for a cup of tea at devils Bridge and again monkey decided to get a leg stretch.

    Onto Cwymystwyth

Here in July we will need to double back on ourselves and head towards our next point which is Caernafon Castle. But today because we started quite late it was now 6pm so we decided to head over the beautiful Elan Valley mountains

From Rhyader we headed toward Builth Wells where we took a little detour which took us over a tiny and very rickity suspension bridge

then back onto the main road towards Brecon, through the national park through all of our gorgeous mountains, unfortunately it had got too dark to get any more decent piccies.

He's spoiled the look of my engine bars with that black plastic rubbish,

Nice piccies though, I didn't know they had a little harbour like that in Fishguard.

Mabel or anyone got GPS details for the nice roads round Snowdon. Just planning my round Britain summer tour.
Gonna cross the Severn Bridge and basically try to take in some nice roads round Snowdon before heading to the Lakes.

    Mabel

I was brought up in Tenby !!! so i know all these places really well. I liked the Fishguard Harbour pics. I remember a really storming night in the little yacht club which is in your pics, with a really good friend, who died a few months later. So nostaligic memories of that place

WHeelie, don't have GPS points but Jason says that you can see most of them on an Atlas (very helpful lad isn't he ) He suggests BAla, Bwlch yr Gross MOM may have GPS stuff as he has all the posh kit. TGO be honest you will struggle to find roads in north wales that are not good biking roads.

I feel I should point out it's a bloody long way from the Severn Bridge to Snowdon!.

I can do you some GPS points if you want, but as Tarka says get a map and look for the squiggley bits, you wan't go far wrong in N. Wales.
