    Morocco trip

Curently touring Maroc, no big problems with the rd04 exept for a little clutch drag in city traffic. Driving TKC 80's, really good tyres, they keep up with a GS1200 or ktm 950 in the twisties. But they will definately not make it back home. At 2000 miles, rear is half gone.

    How's the weather there?

I'm glad to report the weather is great here, just back from a night in the tipi by Lough Mask in Connemara and heading off again soon for who knows where

    Hi,

Am really interested in your trip - looks exactly what I want to do - how did you sort out the route and the areas where you go off road? I have been searching the web and have bought the Michelin map, but other tips would be useful. This some I will be doing next May (plenty of time to plan). Be interested to hear a little more.

    Re: Morocco trip

For a map, I can recommend the Reise-Know How, but most valuable was the free Maroc-Topo that is available on the net (I don't have the link ready) Even the pistes show up.

Chris Scot's book was also a big help as was the Maroc knowledge base:

Stay away from the North and West, basicly the big cities.
Maroccans also seem to want something everywere, to guard your bike,to guide you or whatever. But a big bag of candy for the kids, as soon as you stop, they will be all over you.

Have a good trip, it's a nice country.
