    Working from Home

My working from home day this week. Finished early and decided to catch the last of the day on the local lanes.

This is a local byway that has been concreted for a few 100 yards. Done by the US airforce in 1943.

And this is one of the reasons why. A bomb shelter for an adjacent anti- aircraft battery. Nothing left of that except the concrete foundation slab though.

Last lane of the evening as I got a text from my Dad saying he was back in hopsital after escaping for a day due to contracting MRSA so I had to shoot up the hospital from here.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

I'm afraid OUR rabbit holes aren't as big/deep as you're used to.

I designed/drafted and priced up one quarter of Poplar High Street traffic calming scheme, organised a Key Terra-Firma training session for the section I work in, bollocked a locksmiths for supplying the wrong sort of chain for hanging across Petticoat Lane market, took my bike boots to be resoled in town in my lunch, answered construction questions from one of my road gangs over the phone and knocked up a 3D representation of a new calming feature with a 3D Volkswagen Golf, a Ford Focus and a human sized Mr Potato Head as a passing pedestrian.

I think the Mr Potato Head pedestrian was a nice touch.

One of the benefits of no interuptions and 2 hours of commuting saved.
