jammy buggers!! Seems to be the guys from Only Bike (AQ dealers in Italy). Wonder if Breeze was there, see his mates modified blue AT there, lovely bike that! It would be great to organise a meet up between GB and IT and others. Does such an event exist?

They are indeed lucky and have some amazing bikes with awsome paint jobs - and they use them![]()
Its all their fault that i got my At and started 'changing bits' - i couldnt resist. The look of the rally fairings isnt to everyones liking, but i luv em![]()
Sadly there is no meet that i'm aware of, although i think there was talk of a possible gathering on this years 'Stella' trip.
Ive sent an e-mail to Only Bike recently to see if they have any details of goodies they sell as there doesnt seem to be a website for them.
Theres another dealer called Boano, but their website is not workingand getting any sense out of African Queens by e-mail can be a little taxing (unless you can type Italian).
Breeze was kind enough to try and help with Boano, but it never came to anything - dont know if they had problems or just couldnt be arsed to deal with someone in the UKBut if you want Breeze to help - just pm him and i'm sure hed see what he could do - hes a top bloke

An XRV 'International' meet would be great tho![]()

Breeze has been absolutly brilliant recently, answering loads of questions and giving out sound advice. I too am in love with the Rallye style fairings and kit. Haven't had any luck speaking / email Furio (the guy who runs Only Bike and I think the Chairman of AT Italia).
Who has been really helpful is Ton from Africa Queens in Holland (get to their website through the German AQ site). He has supplied me with loads of info and prices even breaking the down from Euros to Pounds. Called him the other day about a few things and he came across as a really nice guy, no problems with his English which is a good thing as my Dutch is crap.
Have a friend in Rome who is going to call both Boano Racing and Only bike with a series of questions for me. She's going to sort out a three way conversation when she gets back from her hols next week. Will keep you posted how it goes.
Finally, hows your beauty coming on will you be at the meet on her?
Cheers

my bike is getting there - very close now. Ive just had a major problem with the front calipers (they might as well have been made of cheese). Just fitted some replacement calipers off a cbr and they seem to be fine.
Hopefully doing a first test ride this weekend - see if anything falls off, and see what the fuelings like - ive changed the jetting to compensate for the pipe and airbox mods.
Once i'm happy with that, its a new paintjob.
I want to go to the meet - just got to get a pass from the Mrs (not easy as ive spent too much time in the garage).
Hi guys, this was the International meeting we have every year; it was held in Tuscany.
Unfortunately I could not attend, my friends told me it was memorable.
Both tarmac and offroad trips are organized to cater for all riding preferences.

Next year it will be staged in Sardinia and I'm sure some of you guys can plan the trip; trust me, it's worth it, specially if you are part of the offroad group!![]()
Some Germans came down this year, it would be really great to have you guys as well, although I appreciate how far it is...
I have still not given up trying to meet those of you coming down to the Stella this year.
Some of the guys in our club would be more than happy to ride with you lot but the climb to Sommelier is not popular due to the crowded and unruly riding of past years...
I was thinking of riding an alternative route on sunday, something like Susa - Colle delle Finestre - Assietta - Sestriere and maybe a dash in Valle Argentera...
If you're staying the entire weekend you could ride up the Sommelier on Saturday (even though I think the official day to ride up is sunday), and ride with us the next day.
Anyway, let's keep in touch through the forum and we can work something out!
Regarding Boano and Furio (owner of Only Bike), I'm really sorry to hear that your efforts to contact them have come to nothing.
Both are top blokes, maybe the language barrier is having its effect...![]()
Anyway, I will see both of them on wednesday because our Club has organized an invasion on Austrian soil... around 20 Africa Twins will go and race the Twins Konigklasse at the Erzberg Enduro next week!
Needless to say, I am thrilled to be able to line up at the start gate with guys like Giovanni Sala, David Knight, Marc Coma, just to name a few!
We will do our best to honour our Queens against the mighty KTM 950 SE and BMW HP2!
When I get back, I hope to put down a race report and some pics for the forum.![]()
If you guys still have a bit of faith, send me a pvt or email by monday afternoon (latest!) with what you need from Boano and Furio; I hope to be able to grab both and give them personally your printed requests...
Ciao!![]()
