    Simpson Desert - Australia

Some friends just came back from a trip and I thought you'd like the piccies. I was supposed to go but work got in the way, I was pissed i can tell you. its a REMOTE trip and you need fuel for 600km inluding lots of deep sand & 300 sand dunes, a sat phone etc, I was looking to carry an extra 30 liters of fuel and 20 liters of water. It would have been a VERY difficult ride on th heavy AT, my friends were on 2 KTM 640's, 1 x KTM 950 and a DR650. Anyway now for the pics

That looks nearly as nice as a wet muddy field in Essex or Northamptom

Excellent pics - I'm going to have to do a treck like that one day - just as soon as I stop dropping the bike that is

Awesome! If I were to attempt that I wouldn't take the AT though - especially fully loaded.

I'm looking at crossing the simpson myself in a few months with a couple of the guys from work. Do you have a more detailed account on here somewhere that details goes into any problems you encountered? we are also very interested inhow much fuel you used between the bikes for the crossing and your exact route.
    Cheers
