Thailand to China, Akira take note!

Here's a very good, photo essay from an expat American, that made his way from Northern Thailand to China, via Laos and Tibet. The photos are numerous and stunning, an epic adventure indeed, especially when you see the 200cc bikes he was riding! There are a lot of pitfalls and misfortunes involved on the ride, so be warned! Probably one of the best on the road accounts I've read in a while. It can be viewed at:-

Just for info:- (Adventure Touring Asia, is a mainly Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand site, whose majority of members drive AT's/Vara's/GS's. If anyone is ever down that way and in need of help or advice they are definitely a group who can help. Spares for dual sport type bikes are plentiful in Singapore, with at least one of their members owning a repair shop, mainly for AT's and GS's specifically.)

quote: Asia riders will be able to correctly identify this as the red clay "mud of death" . It is sort of like riding on gooey ice. Let me back up a bit here. ...end quote

Chilterns riders recognise that too - only here it's white!
