    Jollity Farm Fun Weekend

Thanks to everyone for making this weekend one to remember! Especially my wife Myfanwy for putting up with the invasion of the XRV.ie crew and friends, and my boys: Owain for giving up his bedroom and camping in the Lidl tent for Rainman, to Niall - voted best pillion and Shane who can beat anyone up the Healy Pass on his Varadero!
    Here are some pics:

Yeah, I'm thinking of organising Healy Pass weekends It's one of the best roads ever - not too long so you can go up and down.... and up.... and then down.... and... well just ask Simon

i only did it three times! Must say it is cool. I've never used so much of my tyres! Really is amazing what angle you can get an @ to.

As for the rest of the weekend it was totally brill as usual for the xrv.ie weekends! Even got some fishing done and we caught 8 mackeral which we then stuck on the barbie and had with some new potatoes from Chris's garden! Just don't mention this to Phoenix. Bit of a sore point cause he didn't get any.

Rest of the weekend was wet but full of great riding and craic. My ribs are still sore!

And i did the camping challenge! Only other person who tried was Cbrpaddy, everyone else had more gear than usual!

As for the trip home, we had a right laugh even if it did take 12 hours! At one point Weebro took off like the hammers passing ever car in sight. The rest of us just looked at each other and followed on but at our normal speed. Cbrpaddy then pulled off the motorway before anyone noticed so the rest of us just headed on the catch Weebro, who we found sitting at the end of the motorway have a smoke! Should have know! We then continued on and went through the worst rain i have ever seen. so bad it hurt. You just rode into a wall of water and dissappeared! thankfully thiss only happened a few times.

The most eventful incident was in Sligo town. About to leave a set of lights and Weebro's clutch cable went! Amazing what you can do to fix things when you have to! Pheonix and i quickly got out the cable ties and i got the spare throttle cable i've been carrying for the last year. Was well chuffed we got it working. Worked all the way home from there which was over 100 miles i reakon.

Thanks again Chris and family for letting us stay and taking over you fantastic house! And great to meet some more members.

Next challenge as mentined - How many irish can you get in a teepee?

I'll have to add my thanks to Chris and his family for their hospitality. It was a brill week end. Heally pass was brilliant. The one place where you could act the holligan and not have anyone say anything.
As for the rain thank goodness the bike is designed for water crossings because some of the roads were a bit mad.
RWB rd07, remus can, dynojet and K&N filter, givi racks, givi hard cases, oxford soft luggage, tourance tires, 12v power socket, oxford heated grips, centre stand, touring scottoiler, very bright headlights.oh yes and a tank cover and bag.

Lesson 1: 105 mph on loaded xrv in torrential rain just to get a smoke and check your mobile is not recommended. Apologies everyone.
Lesson 2: You will NEVER be stuck when ridin with these guys (photo).I am officially in Simon and Pheonix's debt.
Lesson 3: If you want the best bloody weekend you can remember do what we just did. Thanks ChrisH and Co.
