Have been riding around Europe for a month - so many places to see and roads to ride. So I've got a few pictures and stories to share with you.
The first one is from the French Alps, trying to make our way from Beauford to Bourg-Saint-Maurice via L'Ami. Unfortunately the snow line was at 2000m and we had to turn back.
Here is a view over Bourg-Saint-Maurice with a glimpse of my global positioning system - compass and map, which worked perfectly during the trip.
Riding on the ski slopes in Les Arcs was a good laugh with no mud and the only danger being the fallen trees.
In Italy I rode the SS1, which was one of the most beautiful roads of the whole trip. No traffic and turn after turn without any gear changes - bliss. I reckon this is where our bikes go when they die.
In Northern Greece I came across this wonderful sign, which sent my heart (and bike) racing.
... and here is what I found soon after...
On a final note - my bike held up fine, with only two noticable problems - the bolt holding the Remus came of on the second day and luckily I had a replacement one, and second one was that my front brake pads wore off only after 2k miles, which I attribute to some rather abrasive mud I rode trough in Bulgaria. On the plus side - I was easily managing 230 miles to reservewhich is only happening when I'm touring in Europe. I wonder if it's the petrol
Happy riding everyone!
