A little bimble around Norfolk (on and off road on XR400).

Well, i was sat here early in the morning feeling sorry for meself cause i was worried about being able to do the Cambrian cause i aint been feeling to cracky.
Stupid really, got no time for feeling sorry for meself and being sappy so i thought bugger it, whats the best way to find out how im feeling???
Yep, get me bloody bike out and do some miles.
Anyway, got on me bike at 7.20am and buggered off around Norfolk. No plan, no maps, no agenda, just get out and ride and explore. Im bloody glad i did now
Not that many pic's as it happens cause i was so happy just out riding but heres a few for ya.

Some lovely green lanes to follow, get you right away from people etc.

You would never associate Norfolk with a feeling of remoteness but these woods sure felt remote. I cant even tell you where they are cause i aint got a clue

Yep, still in woods. Wheres the bloody picnic huh?

    You can tell its autumn.

Eventually came to this track where i could see the sea. Right, got some sort of idea where i may be now. Time to hunt for a cuppa.

I eventually ended up in Huntstanton so it was time for that well deserved cuppa.

Right, had me cuppa and a couple of smokes. Back on the trails in what i thought was a vague direction towards home.

Ended up coming across this ford, it was the first of 3 although i didnt know that at the time. I got about 5 feet into it and it was already up to my engine casings and felt very loose and soft under wheel.
Hah! Im all for a laugh but i cant swim so i turned round and after getting very wet feet eventually got out and crossed the bridge.

Well the 2nd ford was deeper than the first so i bridged it again. Get to the lane into the third one (same small river, just zig zagging down lanes). I meet up with a few Land Rovers. So we get chatting and they laugh at the idea of me crossing any of them cause as i thought, my swimming skills are non existent and i would have needed them.
Anyway, this is the third ford.

Heres an idea of the depth. This bloke is in a jacked up Discovey and he's only just in the ford, the very shallow bit

Well i parted company with the crowd in their Land Rovers and ended up in woods again. Still no Picnics to be had.
At this point i was totally lost so turned left and ended up in Swaffham.
Well i was getting thirsty now so i thought the best thing to do is?!?!?!?
Yep, you got it. Get back to me local and have a pint or 2
Cracking day out, made me realise things are ok , things well be peachy next week and also made me realise that theres actually some places worth looking up in the land of the Carrot Crunchers.
Right, just got home in time to do this and now me sunday roast is ready so cheers for now, seeya at the Cambrian next week

    Great stuff UKRob

I'll be in Hopton the week after next and looking for some nice roads to ride around there. Might take the ttr now if theres still some trails open over that neck of the woods.
