Salisbury Plain 21.10.07

Our ride on the Plain today was superb with perfect weather and the 7 of us having a lot of fun in the puddles. My pics are here and I know there are more to follow from the others. Here's a selection

I had a great day, nice to be out in the mud, It was nice to meet you all. I hope to do more riding with you guys, both on the Xr and the @. If anyone wants to do any more rides out, on or off road, just PM me. Thanks.

Evening all !.
A warm day kicked off on the byways of Salisbury Plain.
Nice mix of bikes, some monsters Ktm 950, > a brace of Africa twiins, a couple of Xrs and a little 525 Katoom .

So engines running the fun started down a little used grass lane, Insane wayne did a quick recce and came back to inform us it may be a bit slippery

This byway runs for around 20 miles, most of it is pretty easy, of course it would all be nice and dry .
Views are stunning on this route, lots of walkers, all polite move over and give us a wave, no problems just a gentle plod.


Plenty of stops , loads of banter, plenty of piss-taking, some bikes seem to head off for the hedges, maybe the need to lie down



After a difficult start, tire pressures were dropped, it was "Plain sailing for the rest of the day.




Time for a ciggy, hell we had nearly done 1 mile, Charley & Ewan would have had to go and have a "special" massage after this all the strain

Hey guys - what a perfect day it turned out to be for laning! Wet enough that it wasnt dusty, dry enough that it wasnt completely tretcherous for you lads on road biased tyres and just cold enough that it kept most of the rambler fodder off the trails!

Joined the forums now, so will try to contribute to these reports in the future. . . . will bring a camera next time!

Will make sure i'll be there for the next ride out . .
