    Local solo ride out

Went for a local rideout today - just me and the bike around Dartmoor and a walk to Wistmans Wood.

Weather was dull and a bit nippy so I put on some extra layers.

    Before leaving home.

    Near Clifford Bridge.

    Road from Clifford Bridge.
(I'm sure there is less grass in the middle than there used to be!)

Moretonhampstead Post Office, which was obviously closed - Easter Monday.
Good job as you can get lost in there!

    Moretonhampstead.

Main road approaching Postbridge from Moretonhampstead, a nice road.

Walking towards Wistmans Wood along the footpath!

Wistmans Wood - a strange and twisted woodland which is thought to be one of the few remnants of ancient woodland on Dartmoor dating from prehistoric times.

    Two Bridges Hotel.

    Blackingstone Rock.

Near Longdown. Saw the flags and had to stop to take a photo!

An enjoyable ride out and no rain which I was expecting!!

So how big was the back-up crew? Did you need many 4x4s? Any bust-ups with the camera men? Or maybe you only met up at county borders and the rest of the time you were on your own?

Nice pics. We need rides like that for the National meet in September

Looked nice. Was in Devon at Chudleigh for 2 weeks just gone and seems a cracking part of the world.
