so i did. i've taken some pics of some of the derelict petrol stations & garages along the road from my place to my parents in laws, there were i think three that i missed for one reason or another (saw it too late after havuing just overtaken a lorry for example...) but theese are all seen in a single 2 hour trip down the national 6 which used to be the great north road befor the autoroute arrived...

naah, nothing so subtle (or clever)
I left work at 6.30pm & rode south east.....
the pics are actually in reverse order, i rode from sunshine into the dusk. the whole thing is about wide open spaces really, there's just nothing there, for miles & miles. big open country...
