A few piccies from our fun but chilly day! No major dramas or offs but a couple of slippy ones and lots of icy tarmac early on.

Oh and was it any of yourselves on the Hammersmith Flyover at about 0715 on a XR250?
What conclusions can I make from todays ride...........
1. It was COLD!
2. Ice is slippery..........
along with frosty grass, slimey chalk, ice-filled ruts and huge icy puddles!
3. You plan a ride so that everyone is wearing an Arai Tour-X and then someone decides to wear a Shoei Hornet
4. I need some heated grips...................NOW!
5. Did I mention it was COLD!
6. You can only take TWO photos if your hands are frozen! here's my other one

Still it was great to get out and ride, good company and great scenery.

Here are a few images from the day,
Thanks to everyone for a good day out, and being able to put a few names to faces.
Thanks especially to Bob for keeping us in touch as we were a bit late - because -
one 'offy' on the way out on the ice (knobblies are well fun!) - broken clutch lever - replaced,
then road closed by the police -( diversion!),
later on by Shaftsbury one car in the hedge on the opposite side of the road,
200yards on - two cars facing each other on the left hand lane,
200yards further on, a car in the nearside hedge being towed out by the AA.
We had to drop down to 5 MPH to waddle along until it cleared.
It was a good experience for Ollie - home on his Christmas break from Plymouth Uni -took his little 1974 SL125!
Phoned Bob from Longbridge Deveril, missed the start so met up at Chitterne.
Thanks to Barftone for leading.
Early start at 07.30 - very icy & slippery
Up on the plain
