Well The Gap was open and it was time for a J&P ride out taking in scenic view from various vantage points.
J and Dave S met me from work at 0900 and we plodded off to Methyr, via some green lane beyond Treharris.
Dropped into Merthyr and the guys were waiting, and it was the first time I had met Dean and his very gleamy XR4
With us is Cabbage and Tendays who has ridden from Midlands and I dont really think He knew what was goin to happen during the dayAll bloody credit to you Alistar Dual sport of the finest order who needs @s!!!
Then on the Gap, a dissapointment for me as I stalled on way down couldnt get goin tidy again and fluffed the up routeThe one thing today was the sheer volume of groups of trail riders every where, some grumpy farts who dont fancy sayin hello and some cheery soles who stop for a quick chat. The amount of XRs testament to their brilliant ability smattered with the trendy fashion concious orange riders
and also plenty of WRs. Oh loving a button!!!
We then had lunch in Brecon and I suggested revisiting Grwynne Fawr as the day had plenty of riding time left. So a short dap down to Talgarth and we arrived. The boys played merrily unaware of what was coming up
Oh my how one min happy smiley faces turn then into red sweaty why are we here faces
We drop into Crickhowell for a spot of sugar refreshment and say good bye to Tendays as its easier for him from here to set of and he looked welcome to be in dry kit and facing a long ride home
We then move along to one of Js finds which is stunning and heading us back to wards Merthyr
Closer to home we end up in Peet bogs which we try and navigate safely but I end up at the wrong end of a rooster tail
J found some bog but got out ok
A gathering of XRs
Now fully tired we say our good byes of a fine day out, over 120 miles on the XR
