    Crossing Bagés region in Catalonia

    Hi folks!

Nice rideout yesterday. We were afraid of crowd in the tracks due to Easter and weekend, all in one. But at the end we only found a bunch of boyscouts and 3 enduro riders! Only my TA and my pal's Dommie.

Had been planning the track for a couple of days, we took the GR-3 (do you call those routes this way in UK?) and for 40-50 kms we had plenty of mud and amazing places. Storms over the past days left some spots a bit hard, and some overgrown streams made the crossing a laugh. It was just a sunday-only breakout, but it felt like more. Now I'm waiting for holidays to prepare something bigger!

My pics may look a bit odd, but it's my job! even when I'm off I can't help working on my shots. If you have a fast connection, I'd recommend to zoom them, although there's not a huge zoom, you can see better the details.

Cheers to all (if any of you live near here I'll gladly send the info for the track)

Mm, Cartagena, oh mate, you're going to a perfect location for off&on-road riding! Depending on your scope you could easily reach Cazorla, which is a Natural Park with nice roads, and tracks, but off-roading-wise you better check laws before going into the bush (Guardia Civil is tough). Southwards you'll find Almeria and its amazing desert, Tabernas, where lots of spaguetti westerns where shot. I did it with my ex-Dommie in 2004 and it was great. I even met a crazy englishman living madmax-style in the ravines . By doing this route, you could link it to the tracks northwestwards that lead to Granada through Alpujarras, where you should bring warm clothes.

Well, let me know if you need special info.
