Usually we all head West or North, Aberdeenshire seems to get missed out most of the time. Due to the weather I decided not to go west and cut a trail from Elgin to Craigellachie, Dufftown, Rhynie, Mosset, Strathdon, Ballater, over the bridge to South Deeside, Strachan, over the Cairnamount to Stonehaven. I then had a run into town via Culter and in past Shirlaws, a quick look at the Tiger I couldn't afford

.
Had lunch in Bridge of Don then out to Tarves, Methlick, Fyvie, Turriff, Foggie, Rothiemay to Keith and in past Bob Kellas's shop on Mid St for a blether, tells me he's buying a Beemer! Back to Elgin via Mulben and the Boat'a'brig road.
Just over 200 dry miles, sunny most of the way. Petrol light came on just after Keith so fueled in Elgin at Esso, 21.7 litres to 219 miles, not bad for some hard going.
Best part of the route? Well, I love the Rhynie road, also Kildrummy is pretty technical. I adore the Ballater road and the Cairnamount is great fun! Of course the Mulben/Boat'a'brig is fantastic too, ok I admit there's a lot of good bits in there!
Don't write off Aberdeenshire, some of the roads are great, I've not been to Glenshee for a while,,,,,, where's my key's?

?? Ha ha!
