Cool Cos weekend weather is always sh1te . .

. . . . . me & the Mountie decided to take a run out today, just to get best use of the sunshine.

Headed out on a route I did in the pouring rain last Saturday, heading for Glencoe via the Dava, Aviemore, Laggan & Spean Bridge.

Did the above but at Spean Bridge we headed for Invergarry, then on to Kyle, Loch Carron, then Achnasheen and homeward bound.

Not as many miles as Saturday (416), but it was SOooooo nice to ride dry roads, with the sun beating down on me. For most of the route the wind was behind us as well - Sweet.

Couple of pics from the side of Loch Laggan:-

Hope the weekend weather proves me wrong, but having looked at the Met Office site, the weekend weather is not going to be as bright as the weather just now.

    TTFN,

    SteveT

PS - this is a taste of what awaits those that are planning to attend the National in September

    Alba,

Yep the golden girl was indeed out for a spin. I had to do the route through to Glencoe in the dry - it's just awesome. Then the run towards Kyle - breath taking.

Is the machine growing on me? I'm still thinking about the "logic" of keeping it and moving the @ & my Fazer 600 on. Got over 50mpg running with the Mountie yesterday, at our "normal rate" of progress when the roads are dry

Hi LWR - tis indeed a good thing to be able to get out when the weathers right. Hoping to take a run out tomorrow night with some local hooligans for a chip shop run - Grantown on Spey probably!

Hi MC - Twas indeed a great ride - let there be more like it in the future

What, like your not used to "weather" being from South Wales???

You've just gotto do it - been out and done just under 300 miles today, supposedly on a club run . Never got wetted for more than 5 minutes the whole day .

Bring yourself north of Inverness and find the real Scotland .

Only took me just under 10 hours from Pontypool the other week, so it's not that hard to get here - so get on your bike and head North.
