Re: Galway roads

Cool!! I like it... Great pics!

I still haven't been green-laning in Ireland yet... gotta give it a try next time I'm home!

What are the restrictions on green laning like, are there many approved trails, whats the enforcement like?

Stop making the foreigners jealous Paddy.

And why is there no picture of your bike on the ground?

Enforcement ? Approved trails ? Don't know of any, wish there were (approved trails). We just mess around wherever we can find. Coillte (national forestry crowd) has a lot of land and gravel roads which you're mostly supposed to keep out of but we sneak in wherever we can, or where there's no signs up, ahem

They're making me jealous with all their trails, I only have a few mudbaths to swan around in

I sank twice but never actually went over It took the two of us to drag it out in the third pic and second last pic, incredibly slippery underfoot even just trying to push/drag it.

Fair play to ya. I can understand the slippy bit. I've been looking for boots with better protection than I have at the moment but I'm not going to get the moto-x type with the smooth soles. I find it hard enough to stand upright as it is.
My new bike will be much easier.....
